Seasonal Transitions

It is the time of year for seasonal changes. Some days are lovely and some days not so much. This week we have had sun, snow, and rain within the space of about three days, but eventually it will warm up so the snow part is gone for a while. Here is what we saw in the last few days.

Here is what the farm looks like from the air in summer. This is just so I don’t forget.

Meanwhile we are getting into mud season as the rain and snow fall and the ground thaws out. Soon I will be able to put my flannel-lined pants away for a few months.

Here are some seasonal change memes offered up for your entertainment because misery loves company and I just can’t think of anything worthwhile to share. That will pass, too.

    1. Sometimes I really miss having four distinct seasons like when I was a kid out your way.

  2. Ha! Maybe Trump needs to look at that last one... for a long, long time.

    1. Last week his father was from Germany and a while back he was from Sweden. Most people know he was from the Bronx. If he forgets where his father is from or knowingly lies about it, either way it is a bad sign.

  3. I especially enjoyed your "I hope you enjoyed 75 degrees yesterday ..." meme. Around here, today and tomorrow it's in the 70s. Then Wednesday, first day of golf season, I'll be on the first tee at 8 a.m. Predicted temperature? You guessed it: 35 degrees and windy.

    1. Coincidence? No, just April. May the wind be at your back for drives that make Tiger Wood look like a duffer.

  4. So my stinkin' cold is OPRAH'S FAULT! Thanks for pointing me in the right direction :D

These are very funny, and much appreciated, and I love the last one which is less funny and more something that needs to be drilled into kids in school and also a goodly number of adults ...

    1. Oprah has plenty of everything to share. Must be nice!
Selective memories are very short when it comes to roots.

  5. Your farm photo is fabulous !
All my citrus trees are blooming and to sit outside is wonderful, until the two yappie dogs next door start yapping.
    Spring is almost over here.

    cheers, parsnip

  6. It sucks being toooo hot in shorts and flip-flops in December. Says me. Often.
I really enjoyed the weather memes.
And loved the photos of the farm. Thank you.

    1. Yeah, you really did have a hot summer there! At least when it is cold you can keep adding layers (until you can't move), but you can only get so naked to dissipate the heat.

  7. Aw, poor you. Whatever, you get used to anything, don’t you?
I am hoping we’ll soon get real spring but if it gets really hot in summer I shall be the first to complain.

    1. One of these days I'll stop complaining about the weather and actually do something about it! Said no one. Ever.

  8. I died over the one that said "I miss hating the summer heat", lol! So true! I think The Oprah one should be saying "you have spring fever! and you have spring fever!" Thanks for sharing all of those, they were good for the laughs!

    1. Thanks for stopping by 40 AND FEELIN'IT! If it was 65 to 75 all the time what would we complain about? Probably the boring weather!

  9. Here's hoping you start reveling in spring soon!

    1. While it may not sound like it I revel in all of it. Good to know I am alive to feel the differences and whine about them. :)

  11. I honestly cannot relate. Rarely goes above 90 and rarely goes below 45°.

But the picture are wonderful and your farm....enchanting.

And, oh my goodness, the allergies and the cow with the dryer. 🤣. hilarous!

    1. I would need so much less "wardrobe" in that climate for sure.
Whoever thought to threaten someone with a hair dryer?

  12. Crazy weather! I'd say, "Hang in there and summer will soon be there", but "summer" only means "hail, tornadoes, and torrential rain interspersed with drought and forest fires". At least here on the Island we don't usually get the hail and tornadoes...

    1. Hail and tornadoes don't get here, either, but the other things will on occasion. And bugs, we get some biting insects. The breeder mosquitoes usually have to land at our local airport. The black flies use your pupils as targets.

  13. Soon our post can move away from weather; but for now ... snow today (Monday) in Maine, snow predicted for Wednesday in Maine - a break in mud season.

Today I'll be back in my old red winter jacket, woolly hat and gloves.

  16. You live in a beautiful place but that's just too much winter for my taste! The worst of the pollen here seems to be over.

    Hang in there...spring WILL come...eventually!

  17. Hahahahaha...those memes are just too funny!

Hope you get a nice, beautiful spring soon.
