Hiatus

I'm need a break. Not just from blogging, but from a lot of things. I'll still get a chance to read yours, but I need to refresh my mind. I am aware that this is a difficult time of year for many people other than myself and we all have our reasons. I may need just a few weeks or maybe a little more, but I will be back. After the solstice my attitude will brighten, the days will lengthen, and I will no longer let the bastards get me down.

  15. I'm a follower of the Druidic path, and oh boy, do I light a whopper of a fire on solstice! Here in the east it gets dark at 4:30 on a cloudy day. I feel like Ebenezer Scrooge.

  17. NOOO! If we have to keep getting up in the morning, you do too!

All right, I rescind that. I have been having trouble getting up in the morning. Especially after that middle-of-the-night three-hour lacuna when reality washes over me. Hugs buddy.

  26. I know exactly how you feel. The start of winter and the expectations of Christmas bring a difficult time for me too. I just didn't blog for two weeks, just couldn't energize myself. I'll be glad to see you back when this is over.

  28. Dear Jono,
I hope your break is helping. Sometimes breaks are good, and sometimes we have to carry on as if. As if things are okay, as if it's not dark, as if we aren't getting old, as if the bastards aren't there waiting, knife and fork in hand, for our pillow. (Wait, I think I mixed that metaphor. But you get my point.)
