The Mule on the Hill

Day after day alone on the hill
The ass with the foolish grin
Is keeping perfectly still
But nobody wants to know him
They can see that he's just a fool
And he never seem to notice

But the mule on the hill
Sees the sun going down
And the eyes in his head
See the world spinning round

Well on the way, his head in a cloud
The ass of a thousand voices
Is talking perfectly loud
But nobody ever hears him
Or the sound he appears to make
And he never seems to notice

But the mule on the hill
Sees the sun going down
And the eyes in his head
See the world spinning round

Oh, round, round, round, round, round
And nobody seems to like him
They can tell what he wants to do
And he never shows his feelings

But the mule on the hill
Sees the sun going down
And the eyes in his head
See the world spinning round
Thank you Beatles

  1. Stop insulting that fine animal in the pictures! Good choice of tune.

Is that actually a mule in those photos?

  8. Elephant's Child, Wonderful song for a wonderful mule.

jenny_o, And sometimes we notice the twinkle in his eye.

Shammickite, I'm so glad that Sir Paul is still around. And Ringo, too.

Diane, On this side of the border that isn't saying much.

Robyn, When the mule decides to vocalize he starts out sounding like a horse, but then makes an ass of himself. It makes me grin just thinking about it.
